FLOWERS IN ORBIT
raawii and Nice Bunch present Flowers in Orbit, an installation exploring the relationship between vessel and flower, at Peter Jones in Chelsea during Chelsea in Bloom 2026, the renowned floral festival taking over the neighbourhood each year.
Set within the historic John Lewis & Partners department store, and inspired by Chelsea in Bloom’s Out of This World theme, the project unfolds as a poetic encounter between design and nature.
A shared vision lies at its core: design as a collaborative, conscious practice deeply connected to materials and place. From this perspective, object and living matter are no longer separate elements, but part of a single system.
Flowers in Orbit explores the relationship between vessel and flower on an imagined journey through space. raawii’s sculptural ceramics become the centre around which flowers move and gather, expanding like nebulae, sweeping like orbital paths, creating fields of organic energy and evoking journeys to distant alien horizons.
Each composition is built around raawii’s ceramics. Flowers appear suspended in continuous motion, creating a sense of weightlessness and cosmic dynamism.
The result is a single hybrid sculptural object, where design and nature merge.
All the flowers in this exhibition were sourced locally from Nice Bunch’s own flower farm and from other British suppliers that share their ethos. Photography by Sula and Oliver Jones.
Visit the exhibition at Peter Jones, Sloane Square, London SW1W 8EL.
Live 13-26 May 2026.
